Where's the time go?

Been way too long since I posted anything ... so am about to upload some images from our trip to Monterey in early April, and from Bug's science project.

It has been a pretty nutty few months ... am wondering how it got to be April already? Bug's birthday is fast approaching. Sheesh!

100% !!

Christopher just informed me that he got his first 100% on a math test this year! He's had to work at it a bit (for once) and has been steadily improving - not sure who's more proud, me or him! (Or Grammie and Grandpa? Daddy-O?)

How'd I get this boring?

Here it is almost Halloween and I haven't decorated ... I don't have a costume together ... and we haven't carved any damn pumpkins. Could I possibly be any more boring?

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm a one-trick pony, good at nothing but working for a living. :)

My friend Jamie is taking Bug and his best friend Cole to a pumpkin patch today. He'll come home with pumpkins but then leave for his dad's for the weekend. I don't think we'll be doing any carving this year at our house. How sad is that?

Another break?

Good lord, seems like the kids just went back after summer break ... and it's fall break already? Sheesh!

Breaks always make me feel like a bad parent ... or like a flaky self employed bum. (Not sure which is worse!) If I'm working I feel guilty that I'm not spending time with Bug. If I'm spending time with my kid I feel guilty for not working.

Then there's the whole money issue ... hard to make money when you're not working!

Mornings

Funny, that whole "careful what you wish for" concept.

Christo didn't sleep through the night until he was 2 1/2 years old (my fault) and has gotten up around 6 am most other days until just recently (his fault)!

I can't tell you how many times I wished for a kid who would sleep in! Until recently, anyway. We're just hitting the "I don't wanna get up for school" age, I guess.

This morning was wonderful though - when I got out of the shower, ready to rush Christo through the morning ritual (I was running a bit late), he was already up and dressed, and reading a book.
