So now I have the official paperwork from Bug's suspension, and I'm absolutely certain that this is not the big deal that I think it is. And yet ... and yet ... aren't I obligated to make it a big deal? What kind of parent am I if I don't make a big deal out of my kid getting suspended? :)

In all reality, he's a damn good kid. He's made it to 5th grade and 10 years old without getting a single pink slip, and he's on the honor roll. Guess I should quit complaining...

But some sort of punishment is called for, if I'm to be a good parent. I'm thinking that he should have to do my chores for a month. Or maybe he should have to do my job for a month! And I could go to school.

Wait, what a great idea! Hmmm... well, maybe not. The way I behave, I'd get suspended for sure, and he'd be doing the "I told you so" dance...
