Here it is almost Halloween and I haven't decorated ... I don't have a costume together ... and we haven't carved any damn pumpkins. Could I possibly be any more boring?
I'm beginning to wonder if I'm a one-trick pony, good at nothing but working for a living. :)
My friend Jamie is taking Bug and his best friend Cole to a pumpkin patch today. He'll come home with pumpkins but then leave for his dad's for the weekend. I don't think we'll be doing any carving this year at our house. How sad is that?
So Heather and I are on the phone this morning discussing my costume options for a party this weekend and they're pretty slim, considering the fact that I refuse to buy one of those cheesy overpriced plastic costumes at Wal Mart and can't sew to save my life. I think we've narrowed it down to a couple of ideas we got off the Internet. No Sew Costumes for the Creatively Challenged. Lord.
I think there was probably a time when I had some personality but I've been so busy since then that I can't remember it!
Christo is going to be a fisherman for Halloween, which is right up his alley. Last year he was a giant inflatable shark and, while it seemed like a good idea at the time, he wound up feeling super self conscious in his costume and didn't have much fun. I think this year's choice is going to be a better costume for him, he should feel right at home.
Happy almost Halloween! :)
